Authors - Registering as a writer

Once you have decided that you are prepared to help with the writing of the course, the important thing is to let us know. You do this by email us at the email address at the bottom of this page.

The next information we will need to know is a little about your own path background and fields where you feel you would like to write.

We need to know which path you are within ie Wicca, and which Wicca path, or traditional and what path, so as to balance up the course so people get a cross section of views.

The areas that you would like to write on, allows us to select some items to get you started now.

People ask why must they register and why they cant you just start writing something. The answer to this is that we are trying to structure the course, so need to do things in a  planned way. If you don't want to do this but want to write on topics and content of your own choice then we do not exclude you, but what we will do is to add those articles to the articles for reviewing section and the segment authors may be able to include them, if not we will place them within either a reference section within the course or more likely within www.witchpages.com , which has an expensive library of articles, or one of the other member sites such as www.hedge-witch.com

The most difficult item for writers to tell us is the level their knowledge is at, as in most cases, they are unaware of what knowledge exists beyond their own. A few have said they know everything, but as this is not possible even for our most experienced wizards with the Water witches, we know this is not so. Likewise some realize that there knowledge is only limited, and see an ocean of knowledge beyond, and may be put off, however in most cases these two groups have approximately equal knowledge but coming from different directions. I have tried quizzing people over chat systems to see what level their knowledge is at, but this does not really work either.  The answer therefore is to progress and work out what point we are reaching as we progress.

If you have not already registered, or if you have but have not given us as many details as you can then we would be grateful if you could supply the missing information now.

So when you register what we ideally like to know

  • Email address essential
  • Witches name or other name we are to address you by
  • The path and section of the path you follow
  • Your age and how many years you have been involved in the craft (optional but helpful as a guide to experience)
  • The specialist areas that you would like to be considered for writing on
  • Any limits on your time, beyond what we all have.
  • Anything else you want to tell us.

Any questions ask, but please be specific, not tell me about be a writer, or you will get referred to these pages.

Please register now, as you may not get around to it later.

You can add topics to write on or change anything later, but get involved now.
