Authors - Levels to go toIf you think of a school or college, you start with a subject by getting a very light overview of the whole, and then start to look at some areas in a bit more depth.Later, you come back to look at the topic again, reinforcing what you have learnt, relating it to other knowledge, and then expanding the depth or level of knowledge. Over the course this is in effect what we have to do, so giving an example that most can relate to, we might explain briefly what Wicca is and how it came about, later coming back to looking in greater detail at the founders, stages it has migrated through and the many paths that exist now. In another section we might explore several copies of book of shadows from different points, or look at other old documents. Perhaps later we might take individual founders and look at what else they had been involved in, had read and written, and what other early groups influenced them, ........ on we go. You will see that this example explores very little of the religion, forms of ceremony, magic etc, but shows how over the course we would develop a full understanding of where the ideas came from, and were based upon, rather than just taking the view that it was all made up in the 1950's., or the opposite extreme that Wicca had existed invisibly from a a point before history and then been magically rediscovered. From this the course members will understand the basis and background to other areas they will be looking at. Clearly we would not want to try to do this all at one time, it would be very heavy going, of only of great interest to a minority, and most would be forgot, while covering it in stages we get the chance to see the relevance of the knowledge acquired, and use it to also give confidence in the knowledge by knowing where it came from. As a writer, it might be that you have a particular interest, for example reincarnation, and could develop this over several articles that can be dropped into different points of the course. On the other hand you may find researching and writing up some specific aspect is more interesting. Some may feel that reinforcing the basic knowledge they have would be better and want to start and cover the basics. If you create an article that becomes too large and complex for a segments we will break it into two across two segments. Back up documentationOften within the course you will want to allow people to see a particular document or a section of a document. Rather than having to include them within your article we will be able to include copies within a reference section, or lager collections you may like to allow them to see within www.witchpages.com . This site already has a wide range of documents forming an extensive library and will help you find other public domain copies of other documents that you require. We would suggest against telling those undertaking the course to read very extensive sections, for example the site contains many books of shadows from different historic point s or groups, that you specify the point you want them to look at. We will be able to hyperlink directly to a section and to throw this into another window for people to read. You may also decode that you would like to write back up or extended articles on a topic in addition to the courses content and to include this in either witchpages or the course reference section. If you feel it is of use to all witches, then the best place for it is within witchpages, while if it is just to offer a deeper view for course students then the course reference section would be the best place.
